Pneumatic ballistic shock waves (also termed divergent shock waves) utilise compressed gas to generate energy, propelling the projectile within the handle to high velocity (up to 90 kilometres per hour). The projectile strikes the treatment head in pulsed form at high speed, inducing a transient, broadband, high-pressure mechanical acoustic wave (divergent) within the treatment head.
This wave is then transmitted through the conductive medium to accumulate at the treatment site.
